Women Development Cell, Faculty of Management organizes seminars and workshops regularly to sensitize the students towards various aspects like gender equality, mental health and emotional well-being, stress management at workplace, etc.

Here’s a glimpse of the seminars and workshops conducted:

Ms. Ruzan Khambatta was invited on March 14 2022. Ms. Khambatta is a social entrepreneur and a believer in working at the grass root level. She’s a woman who always wants to innovate and experiment - unconstrained by convention. She has various initiatives to her credit like Defence o’Dance, Wajra O’Force, Halla Bol. The most popular being PoliceHEART 1091, which has rescued thousands of women from rape, molestation, domestic violence, kidnapping and the like. The technology doesn’t require a smart phone/GPS. We just need to call 1091 and the Police tracks the location rescues the victim. She passionately and relentlessly works for women empowerment in the areas of adult literacy, adolescent health, primary education, computer literacy, and counseling and livelihood generation through skill development. She has been recognized and felicitated largely for her contribution in the field of women empowerment.

During the pandemic, Ms. Namrata Sheth, Nutritionist and Fitness Coach conducted a webinar to share her journey from being an ex-banker to fitness coach. She discussed how work stress and lifestyle disorder took a toll on her health and she was a victim of insulin resistance, hypothyroidism and PCOD. But with the right decisions on diet and fitness regime, today she is not only living a completely fit life, but also is a marathon trainer. 

To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8 2021, a webinar was conducted by Ms. Srimonti Guha, Psychologist and Psychology Educator on ‘Work-life Balance: Challenges faced by Women’. The webinar addressed per diem challenges faced by women and tips on how to maintain a healthy work-life balance. 
Likewise a seminar on ‘Gender Equality’ was conducted by Dr. Darshana Thakker, MD, Sarjan Healthcare, Ms. Anar Mehta, Founder of Shrishti Bharat and Mr. Karn Khanna, Chief Officer, Karma Foundation.
 
The issue on Gender Equality was addressed by Dr. Darshana Thakker, MD. Gynecologist. She has been into the field of Women Healthcare and teen age counselling since 1998 is also practicing Louis Hay philosophy for thousands of patients. Dr. Darshana is a motivational speaker who travels across country and has delivered more than 1000 talks by now. Her unique concept "Health Cafe - A center for emotional well-being services" offers workshops on many subjects including Heal Your Life. She has conceptualized amazing workshops like "Emotional Spa", "Paint Your Life" and "Art of Dreaming".
 
The seminar was an eye opener for the audience and discussed the issue on ‘Gender equality’ in a very subtle but strong way.
A seminar on “How to be fit: Physically & Mentally - Busting Myths on Diet” addressed by Ms. Ruju Desai, Certified Fitness Trainer and Nutritionist. Ms. Ruju has an experience of over 20 years with fitness training and nutrition. She shared her insights on being fit physically and more importantly, mentally.
