Faculty of Commerce is located at a prime location and is housed and supported by a very comfortable and nicely designed infrastructure that provides a positive and pleasant atmosphere for the academic and co-curricular activities at the campus. On one hand, fully equipped, Air Conditioned classrooms for IT enabled & joyful teaching-learning process facilitate top of the class academic activity, while on the other hand, various on campus facilities help the overall development of the students. The campus includes modern infrastructural facilities like AC Classrooms, Computer labs, Resourceful Library, Conference Room, Computer Laboratory, Ladies Common Room, CWDC room, Foodiesta- Cafeteria, plush and well-equipped Auditorium, Fully equipped Gymnasium, Huge playground for sports activities with Basketball court, Cricket pitch, Kabaddi ground, Football ground and so on. The facility for indoor games includes games like Chess, Carrom, Table-Tennis etc.
Faculty of Commerce also provides facilities like lift and ramp for physically handicapped students. The entire campus is covered by a High speed 200 MBPS WiFi network for learning beyond the four walls of a classroom. Every classroom is affixed with overhead LCD projector to facilitate the teaching learning process. On-campus Medical centre with a qualified doctor has been operational for several years. To ensure the safe and secure environment at the campus, every nook and corner of the Campus is under the CCTV surveillance and guarded by trained security personnel who are also deployed at the main gates and parking areas.
Campus: The prime location of the entire GLS University makes it very accessible for the potential students to take utmost advantage of its state of the art infrastructural facilities. The academic and physical infrastructure at Faculty of Commerce provides an all-inclusive environment which inspires intellectual minds to nurture their creativity.
Auditorium: The campus which is located at the heart of the city has a plush and well-equipped auditorium. It is a centrally air conditioned, multipurpose auditorium with a seating capacity of 275 people with a big modular stage and a green room. It has sufficient latest technology equipment’s with sound systems, video facility and LCD projectors. Various academically oriented guest lecture sessions are conducted at this auditorium.
Computer Lab
Faculty of Commerce has a well-equipped computer lab with latest technology. With more than sufficient number of computers connected to a LAN which bridges the faculties and students for information sharing, GLS also provides an access to a 5.5 MBPS broadband internet connection. The campus has been converted into a WiFi zone to make learning more feasible for the students. Students attend classes for ‘Computerized Accounting’ in the computer lab in the first year of college.
Library
Faculty of Commerce has a well-equipped library, fully computerized with an access to INFLIBNET and various e-resources. The Library offers vital support for teaching, learning, research activities of the institute by disseminating knowledge and offering modern services to the academic fraternity. It is stocked with reference books, collections of specialized and general books, journals, newspapers, magazines and periodicals, research publications etc. The library also has books for the preparation of competitive exams. New arrivals are displayed in the book showcases near the library entrance. The library has many soft boards on which the information like the new arrivals, recommended books, informative and interesting articles, important institute notices etc. are displayed
IT Enabled Learning
In the digital world, every discipline needs IT infrastructure support for the studies and project work. GLS University has well equipped IT infrastructure combining advanced computer labs, licensed software versions, e-mail accounts for all the students, video conferencing systems, and Internet facility. The infrastructure is secured with the help of latest firewalls and anti-virus software. Faculty of Commerce has e-learning facility as well as mobile applications which the students can utilise for learning during off campus timings.
The Class Rooms: The Class-rooms at the Faculty of Commerce are designed to promote an interactive learning sessions. All the classrooms are air-conditioned and affixed with overhead LCD projector to facilitate the teaching learning process.
