Faculty of Law organised an inter-semester debate competition on Russia-Ukraine War under the aegis of Thought Republic Debating and Literary Society. The debate competition was structured in the Asian Parliamentary Debate Format. The participants were divided into six teams. The members supporting the motion were termed as Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Government Whip. While, the team opposing the motion was divided as the Opposition Leader, Opposition Deputy Leader and Opposition Whip. During the debate, participants quoted provisions of various international conventions such as Geneva Convention, UN Charter, Vienna Convention, Budapest Convention concerned with law of War. The event was judged by two eminent guests Ms Tejal Vasawada, Director, American Corner, Ahmedabad and Ms Jumana Shah, Former News Editor, Co-founder Gujarat Literature Festival. The individual winners of the debate were Ms Nandini Hirani from Sem IX, Tapati Dave from Sem V and the group winners were Mehul Sharma from Sem VII, Tirth Shah Sem III and Aditya Singh from Sem I. The programme was coordinated by faculty members Dr Payal Mehta, Dr Jiya Mathrani and Ms Hiral Shukla.
