To commemorate the Semi-Centennial of Stockholm Declaration and Semi-Sesquicentennial of Independence of India, Faculty of Law on the glory of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ by organizing a two-day thought-provoking conference on “Climate Change Governance and Law”. The Conference witnessed dignitaries from 15 countries and 16 Indian States who assembled to deliberate on Climate Change governance issues. Hon’ble Mr Justice Brian Preston, Chief Judge, Land and Environment Court, New South Wales, Australia were the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Function. Mr Peter Cook, British Deputy High Commissioner, State of Gujarat and Rajasthan were the Chief Guest in the Valedictory Function. There were 4 Plenary Sessions each Plenary Session was presented by Prof Dr Barbara Pozzo, Professor Gitanjali Gill, Dr Linda Yanti Sulistiawati, Dr. Mohamed Behnassi respectively. Parallel there were 7 Technical Sessions each day under way for the galaxy of intellectuals of national and international repute to present their papers. Shri Sudhirbhai Nanavati, President, GLS University made opening remarks at the International Conference.
