Faculty of Law, GLS University also organized an Expert Lecture for the students of Semester III and Semester V titled “Laws pertaining to Forests and Wildlife in India”. The lecture was delivered by Mr Uday Vora, IFS (Retd), Chief Conservator of Forest (Retd.), and ex-member of National Wetland Committee. This was the first event in pursuance of the celebration of Van Mahotsav at the University. The speaker started the session by bringing to light the area of land covered by forest in the country and highlighting the principle- “Our ethos is to live with the nature.”
