Dr Julia Richardson delivered a talk on the impact of social media on ones’ career. The session was organised on 26th August 2019 by Dr Tejal Jani. She began her talk by explaining the difference between to be present on social media officially and to be present on social media personally. She elaborated that now the recruiters appraise the prospective candidates by checking their social media status. She underscored the fact that a prospective candidate loses a job opportunity when his social media status is contrary to what is required of him professionally. She advised students to be cautious while posting on social media.
